Part 6 - Journey to Opelucid City
Lentimas Town
Items: Fire Stone, TM57 (Charge Beam), Spell Tag
All of you land at Lentimas Town and Professor Juniper reveals why you were brought here in that Cheren believes Team Plasma are up to something dangerous. She also reveals the Drayden is the Gym Leader in Opelucid City and is also the master of Dragon-type Pokemon - which is the reason Juniper wants you to talk to him to hear what he has to say about what Team Plasma could be planning. Bianca leaves for Reversal Mountain which is not far from Lentimas Town in hopes of finding a rare Fire-type Pokemon inside. You are finally off auto-mode after Bianca leaves. Go north on the runway then go east and follow the path until you find a Fire Stone, go back the way you came. Now leave eastward.
There is a Pokemon Center in the center of town for you to heal up at in case you get into trouble along your way to Reversal Mountain, go inside and talk to the old lady in the southwest corner and she'll hand you the Spell Tag, explore the rest of Lentimas Town.
In the northwest building, there is another Move Tutor where in exchange for Blue Shards he will teach a Pokemon some moves. The moves this guy can teach are Last Resort, Iron Defense, Magnet Rise, Magic Coat, Block, Hyper Voice, Electroweb, Icy Wind, Iron Tail, Aqua Tail, Earth Power, Zen Headbutt, Foul Play, Superpower, Gravity, Dragon Pulse, and Dark Pulse.
Go to the southwest building and talk to the woman inside, she will hand you TM57 (Charge Beam) for - um, well talking to her (literally, that is her reason).
Exit Lentimas Town to the east.
Reversal Mountain (Outside)
Wild Pokemon: Drifblim, Skarmory, Skorupi, Trapinch, Camerupt (W2), Numel (W2), Grumpig (B2), Spoink (B2), Vibrava (DG), Audino*
Trainers Pokemon: Cyclist (Zebstrika LV37), Cyclist (Unfezant LV37)
Items: Full Heal, TM30 (Shadow Ball)
I will split it into two sections: Outside and Inside - outside will be the grassy areas before you enter the cave, and inside are the Pokemon and Trainers you will find after going inside. Go eastward along the path. You will see a path go north which goes to the entrance to Reversal Mountain, but take a detour first - to the Strange House. To do that, go through the Dark Grassy Area and find the Strange House. Before entering, go around to the left to the back side of the building and pick up TM30 (Shadow Ball) - you won't see it because the building is blocking the item from being seen and you won't find it using the Dowsing Machine. Go all the way to the back left area of the building to find it. Now enter the Strange House.
Strange House
Wild Pokemon: Litwick, Golbat, Raticate, Banette, Solosis (W2), Duosion (W2), Gothita (B2), Gothorita (B2)
Trainers Pokemon: Backpacker (Numel LV36, Sigilyph LV36), Psychic (Drifloon LV36, Spoink LV36, Drifblim LV36)
Items: Spell Tag, Full Heal, Dusk Stone, Rare Candy, Lunar Wing.
Wild Pokemon - like the Caves - can be met at any time, so use Repels. Just follow these directions, as the rooms will change each time you enter another room. Go northwest until you find some stairs leading down, go down.
Go around and follow the path around and pick up the Spell Tag, you will pass by another item that is not reachable yet. Keep going east until you see the stairs going up, go up.
Enter the first room you see, battle the trainer (yes there are trainers inside this creepy house), exit the room.
Go around to the stairs on the right up to the upper level of the main room. As you make your way around, a girl will come from nowhere and talk about a endless dark dream. She's asking where her parents and her Abra is then disappears - creepy - continue westward around the main room to the otherside. Enter the other room before you go downstairs again.
Find a Full Heal to your left, now exit the room.
Go downstairs again to the left.
This time you can reach the Dusk Stone item you couldn't reach the first time you were down there. Pick it up, then find your way to exit up on the east stairs.
Now go west up the main left stairs and enter the room at the top.
Battle the trainer in there, then exit back out.
Go back around the main floor and up the right stairs and enter the room over there.
Go to the northeast corner and find the Rare Candy in the back of the room. Exit the room.
This time go up the middle stairs and go to the middle room. Upon reaching the top of the middle stairs, the girl will come from nowhere again and talk about hearing her dad's voice and talk about the Lunar Wing then disappears again. Enter the room ahead.
Pick up the said-Lunar Wing in the center of the room. This is necessary for encountering the Legendary Pokemon Cresselia much later on in the game. The girl reappears behind you and notices you have the Lunar Wing. She reveals she cannot have it and to return it to the "Pokemon". She reveals that she has been waiting at a "Bridge" to take it back herself but then suddenly disappears on you. Exit this very creepy building....heal up back at the Town then take on Reversal Mountain.
Reversal Mountain (Inside)
Wild Pokemon: Boldore, Skorupi, Woobat, Numel (W2), Camerupt (W2), Spointk (B2), Grumpig (B2), Excadrill*
Trainers Pokemon: Black Belt (Rotation Battle - Gurdurr LV37, Scraggy LV37 x2), Hiker^ (Gurdurr LV37, Crustle LV37), Backpacker^ (Golbat LV37, Swanna LV37), Pokemon Ranger (Banette LV38, Golduck LV38), Doctor# (Swoobat LV38), Battle Girl (Triple Battle - Gurdurr LV37, Riolu LV37 x2), Backpacker^ (Golbat LV37, Darmanitan LV37), Hiker^ (Boldore LV37, Excadrill LV37), Ace Trainer^ (Vibrava LV39, Camerupt LV39), Ace Trainer^ (Grumpig LV39, Drifblim LV39), Pokemon Ranger (Watchog LV38, Grumpig LV38)
Items: Max Repel, Escape Rope, Presim Berry (x2, B2), Rawst Berry (x2, W2), Hyper Potion, Blue Shard, Green Shard, TM69 (Rock Polish), Revive, Star Piece, Calcium, Elixir, Water Gem
^ - these trainers can potentially be paired up with another trainer and be fought in a Double Battle
# - will heal Pokemon to full strength when you defeat the Doctor in a Pokemon Battle
The inside will be slightly different in terms of what you view (Lava in White 2, Water in Black 2) as well as a couple of items you will pick up between Black 2 & White 2 but otherwise still follow the same story and you battle the same Pokemon - except for those in the wild of course. Although many of the trainer's locations are not the same in both versions, but both Versions do feature the same trainers and you will battle the same Pokemon.
Take the first left as you enter and pick up the Max Repel, continue forward into the next room.
Bianca is in the next room. She tells you that the Wild Pokemon are very tough and needs your help. Like Hugh did in the Castelia Sewers, she will heal your Pokemon after every battle until she leaves you. Much like the Castelia Sewers, all Wild Pokemon battles will be Double Battles until Bianca leaves you. She will use her Level 40 Musharna when you battle with her and will participate when you are in a Trainer Double Battle. Head south all the way down until you see a cave exit, take it.
Continue south and take that exit - don't go right, there is nothing there. Pick up the Escape Rope and Smoke Ball there. Go back the way you came back into the main cave room.
Turn right and battle the Ranger, then continue east and - after Bianca sees an entrance and realizes this is the place she is looking for - battle the Doctor. He will heal your Pokemon afterward - uselessly for now as Bianca already does that, but keep him in mind when we go in there later. Enter the entrance Bianca referenced to earlier.
Go all the way down to have Bianca look around and believes this is the lair of Heatran - the Legendary Fire-type Pokemon. Exit the room.
At this point, the ways to go and explore this place are slightly different in Black 2 and White 2 versions (it is the same until this point). So I will split this up from here on out until we get to a point where we are going the same path again in both versions.

BLACKIn Black 2 Version, go eastward then go north. Follow the path around to pick up TM69 (Rock Polish), go back to the path and back east. Battle the Battle Girl in a Triple Battle. Take the next northern path and follow it to a Revive. Go back then use the Dowsing Machine eastward until you find a Star Piece. Go back westward all the way around until you go north. Take the first right, and pick up a Hyper Potion, use the Dowsing Machine to pick up a Blue Shard. Go back out and continue north until you find another path on the right. Continue along it until you find a Nugget. Go back on the path north near where you first entered but hang a right. Follow along the path until you find two trainers. Battle them, then go south of them to pick up a PP Up. Go back right until you find another two trainers - beat them. Go south then use the Dowsing Machine to find a Calcium. Go back up to the path and continue east, then head south again when you see the Scientist. Continue south, use the Dowsing Machine again to find a Elixir, continue south until you find steps. Go down.
Use the Dowsing Machine to find a Water Gem. Follow the path and battle the Ranger, the Ranger will give you a Perism Berry when you defeat her. (I have not mentioned this all along but they have given you Berries each time you defeat a Ranger in battle). Grab the Toxic Orb item then head back up the stairs north to the Scientist in the other room. |
WHITEFor White 2 Version, head out back west where you came from, continue along the path until it heads back north. Take the first right then go on the northern path at the fork. Collect the items. Go back towards the cave Bianca wanted to look at but go past it and take the next northern path. Take a left and pick up an item. Go back and continue north. take a right down the stars to another room.
Follow the path around and battle the Ranger who will give you a Rawst Berry after the battle (I have not mentioned this all along but they have given you Berries each time you defeat a Ranger in battle). Continue along the path and pick up the Flame Orb. Go back to the stairs and exit the room. Make a northern U-Turn, then head south. Pick up the item and then advance to battle the two trainers ahead. Go back north and continue north until you find another two trainers. Battle them then head left along the path until you reach another item. Pick it up, then head eastward all the way until you meet a Scientist. |
Talk to the Scientist and if you have seen all the Pokemon in the Habitat List for Reversal Mountain (that you can look at in your Pokedex), he will give you TM54 (False Swipe) - a useful TM for capturing Pokemon, as this move will always leave the defender with at least 1 HP. I advise you to teach this to one of your Pokemon that you use for your capturing team. If he does not, you are likely missing a Trapinch - because that is what I was missing. You can only see it in the grass outside (none of the trainers have one in or out), so keep this in mind if that is the Pokemon you are missing so that when you get out of here and leave Bianca, you can accomplish this task. Remember that Reversal Mountain has Pokemon insdie AND outside, so be sure you have seen all Pokemon in and out.
Go east and find some stairs. Go ahead into the next room.
Follow the path down and find the way out to Undella Town, Bianca will leave you when you exit. Exit to Undella Town.
Undella Town
Wild Pokemon: Frillish (S), Staryu** (S), Starmie* (S), Basculin(B) (W2 / B2*, S), Basculin(R) (B2 / W2*, S)
Items: Shiny Stone, Berry Juice, Pearl (x2), Heart Scale, Prism Scale
Explore the place and use the Dowsing Machine to find the hidden items around town. Head to the Center to heal up, buy a bunch of Ultra Balls for an upcoming big Wild Pokemon battle I'll get to soon. You cannot go through the Marine Tube yet, it is blocked off - when completed, it will be a quick way to reach Humilau City - the location of your 8th and last Gym Badge. Right now, you cannot go through until you get your 7th Badge. You could exit south to Route 14, but I will not because we will just U-Turn back here as there is another blockade advancing you any further than the gate to Black City (B2) / White Forest (W2). Plus you need the field move Waterfall which we do not have yet to explore it completely. You can go through Undella Bay to the east and battle the trainers there, but without the field move Dive and that you cannot go far through the Seaside Cave yet, we really can't go that way either. So attempt to go through the gate north to Route 13 only to have Hugh come from behind and battle you in your first non-tournament battle since Floccesy Ranch. Here we go.
RIVAL BATTLE 4:
If you choose Snivy: Emboar - Level 41, Simipour - Level 39
If you choose Tepig: Samurott - Level 41, Simisage - Level 39
If you choose Oshawott: Serperior - Level 41, Simisear - Level 39
Pokemon Hugh has regardless of choice: Unfezant - Level 39
Prize Money: 4100
The only big change is that his Pokemon's levels has gone up by 14-16 and that all of his Pokemon are now in their fully evolved stage including his starter. This time though you have all 6 Pokemon in your party to choose from instead of having 3 on hand for the tournament back at the PWT. So this should be easier now because you have more choices in your party to choose from. Defeat him the same way or even better way you did at the PWT.
Heal up at the Center next door, talk to the man on the far left to get a Prism Scale, make sure one of your party Pokemon knows Cut, then exit north through the gate to Route 13.
Route 13
Wild Pokemon: Tangela***(1), Solrock, Pelipper, Lunatone, Drifblim, Absol, Audino*, Emolga*, Tangrowth*, Cobolion (One), Basculin(R) (B2 / W2*, S), Basculin(B) (W2 / B2*, S), Frillish (S), Staryu (S**), Starmie (S*), Jellicent (S*), Foongus (HG1&2), Drifloon (HG2), Spheal (HG2), Skorupi (HG1), Cobalion$
Trainers Pokemon: Black Belt (Gurdurr LV41), Battle Girl (Scrafty LV41), Ace Trainer (Delcatty LV41, Eelektrik LV41), Fisherman (Vaporeon LV40), Parasol Lady (Castform LV40), Fisherman (Basculin(R) LV39, Staryu LV39), Fisherman (Alomomola LV40), Ace Trainer (Lopunny LV41, Lampent LV41), Pokemon Ranger (Rotation Battle - Jolteon LV39, Nosepass LV39, Aalvantula LV39), Fishermen (Golduck LV40), Pokemon Ranger (Triple Battle - Flareon LV39, Vibrava LV39, Larvesta LV39)
Items: Max Repel, Zinc, Red Shard, Heart Scale, Black Flute/Flute/Flute/Flute/Flute^, Pearl, Sitrus Berry (x2), Power Lens (B2), Power Band (W2), Max Ether, Blue Shard
^ - Flute will be at random each day from the guy next to the southern house
$ - Only one is available in the game
Battle the two trainers you first come along on the path. Before you hit the beach, go south and use Cut, pick up the Max Repel, continue along the path onto the beach. Go up the big stairs across the grassy area then use Strength to push the boulder into the hole, then pick up the Red Shard at the end. Turn around and use the Dowsing Machine to pick up a Zinc. Go back downstairs then go eastward along the path north of where you just came from along the beach. Battle the trainer walking near the water, continue east and use the Dowsing Machine to pick up a Heart Scale, then the Ultra Ball next to it. Battle the fishermen at the end.
Turn around and go back towards the big stairs but stop before you reach the Ace Trainer, Surf north to the Dark Grass, find the Luxury Ball in the middle, then go northeast of the area and battle the trainer, pick up TM29 (Psychic) that is laying there near him - then Surf west until you reach land. Battle the pink lady, then continue west on land. Talk to the next person you see and the guy will hand over a Flute (there are 5 Flutes total, come back to get another each day). The house next to him holds nothing important, so go back to the pink lady then head north. Battle the fishermen there, continue north and use the Dowsing Machine to find a Pearl. Go up the big stairs there then turn south, battle the trainer, then go across the next bridge to pick up a Star Piece. Go back to the intersection but go west this time. You will see two trees looking together - yet another Hidden Grotto. Explore it, then continue west down the steps. Battle the trainer - a Rotation Battle - then continue west along the beach until you reach a house. Talk to the person with the Wingull and he'll hand you the Power Lens (B2) / Power Band (W2). Go out of the house and head back to the intersection near the Hidden Grotto. Go north this time where the cutable trees are. Cut one of them down. You will see Cobalion there - the same one from Route 6. This time you can talk to it - doing so will initiate a wild battle with it. Use typical capturing moves (don't forget about the False Swipe move!) and capture it. It will make a nice addition to your team at Level 45. It is also a Steel-type, so many good defenses come with it. You may choose to come back later, it is NOT a requirement to engage it in a battle right now, but Cobalion will stand there until you battle it for capture.
Continue forward then U-Turn back around to the grassy area path. Continue south until you find the Ranger and battle it (in a Triple Battle), collect the Max Ether and Blue Shard items there, then head back north and then finally west to Lacunosa Town. You'll notice a boulder movable by Strength on the wrong side of you. Ignore it for now because you can't reach it anyways and therefore blocked off from going that way.
Lacunosa Town
Trainers Pokemon: Team Plasma Grunt (Double Battle - Golbat LV39, Garbodor LV39)
Items: Full Heal, Metronome
Attempt to enter the Center to the southeast of town to only have Professor Juniper and Bianca come up from behind you. She will tell you to go past Lacunosa Town to reach Opelucid City and Drayden but wants to tell you something first. She will escort you and Bianca to a house at the north end of town. An old woman is in-front of the door and well tell you the tale of the town after going inside.
The old lady will tell you about the Giant Chasm outside of town that is to the northeast of here (which is where the blocked path would have led you to). Bianca reveals that place has also gotten a brief -58*F reading recently according to Cheren. Juniper (like I eluded to) says the road is blocked right now. The old lady continues the tale of the Giant Chasm to the point where the reasoning behind the walls that surround the town except at the two exits to the east and west and the reasoning behind their town-people not being allowed to go out at night. Bianca and Juniper leaves. You do so yourself.
You will find Juniper and Bianca continuing to talk about the tale they just heard. Juniper will ask you if you have heard of the story or Zekrom (B2) / Reshiram (W2). Bianca asks if there is a connection between the Pokemon mentioned in the story and the legendary Dragon Pokemon. Juniper realizes that the Pokemon from the story came from a Meteroite and that Zekrom / Reshiram came from the Dark (B2) / Light (W2) Stone. They continue talking...and talking...and talking...and finally realize they've taken so much of your time. Then Juniper asks you to ask Drayden about what you just heard in addition to the other things. Finally head to the Center and heal up from your trek through Route 13.
Take the stairs next to the Center. After crossing the bridge, look down carefully and find a Full Heal. Continue along the second-tier north-then-eastward to the last house in the northeast. Go in and find a Metronome in plain sight.
Now head back towards the Center but go left of it. You will find Hugh there. He'll ask if you've seen Team Plasma. As if to answer his question, Zinzolin will appear with a Grunt to your left. Give Hugh a hand into this Double Battle...
ZINZOLIN BATTLE 1: (Double Battle)
Cryogonal - Level 42
Sneasel - Level 44
Prize Money: 9480
The other part of the Double Battle is shown at the top as the Grunt will join him. Your rival will counter with his starter at Level 43. The Grunt's Pokemon are Poison-types - like usual with every bad guy battle - and Zinzolin will have Ice-types along with Sneasel as a dual Dark-type as well giving it a further Bug-type weakness. With your rival helping, it should be easy getting rid of them.
Team Plasma runs off towards Opelucid City to possibly find what they are looking for - Hugh (as usual) is angry at them leaving and runs after them. Heal up - oh, and buy some more Ultra Balls for later while you are in there, then trek to Route 12 after them.
Route 12
Wild Pokemon: Roselia, Sewaddle, Tranquill, Combee, Heracross (B2), Pinsir (W2), Audino*, Dunsparce*, Emolga*, Leavanny*, Roserade*, Unfezant*, Vespiquen*
Trainers Pokemon: Battle Girl (Gurdurr LV41, Mienfoo LV41), Black Belt (Heracross LV42), Backers (Double Battle - Roselia LV40 x2)
Items: Rare Candy, Timer Ball, Ultra Ball, PP Up, Yellow Shard, Max Repel, Green Shard, Max Potion
Use the Dowsing Machine when you first enter the route to find a Rare Candy, then go northeast to find a Timer Ball in plain sight. Use the Dowsing Machine again to find a Ultra Ball in the Dark Grass. Go west along the Dark Grass to find a PP Up and a Yellow Shard. Use the Dowsing Machine to find a Max Repel. Battle the two trainers - if you haven't done so already - that you see walking around. Afterward, go south into the lighter grass and find a Green Shard near the sign. Go left of that two find two girls for a Double Battle. After that, go through the space in the fence above them and find a Max Potion. Go back around the fence and exit the route to the Village Bridge.
Village Bridge
Wild Pokemon: Golduck, Marill^ (S**), Seviper, Zangoose, Audino*, Azumarill* (S*), Dunsparce*, Emolga*, Lapras (S*), Basculin(B) (W2 / B2*, S), Basculin(R) (B2 / W2*, S)
Trainers Pokemon: Gentleman (Durant LV43, Lucario LV43), Baker (Heatmor LV42), Hoopster (Triple Battle - Magmar LV42, Magby LV42 x2), Hoopster (Triple Battle - Electabuzz LV42, Elekid LV42 x2), Smasher (Whimsicott LV44), Smasher (Lilligant LV44), Fisherman (Basculin(R) LV42), Youngster (Sandslash LV42), Artist (Sunflora LV42)
Items: PP Up, Carbos, Heart Scale, Ultra Ball, Blue Shard, Sitrus Berries (x5)
^ - This Pokemon can be found in the wild grass and while surfing
Yeah, as you can see this is not your ordinary village - it is basically a Route in itself. While you can just run across it and go to Route 11, stay here and train a bit as there is many trainers to battle and help your Pokemon get stronger.
The first house you come across is basically a Pokemon Center - as there is not one here - so go in and talk to the lady to heal your Pokemon.
Exit westward to have a Gentleman stop you and provoke a battle. Defeat him and stop him from attaining his 1,000th victory in a row - how timely you came along. The man will step aside after the battle. Continue along to the fifth house (second house after crossing the river) and talk to the cook in the center for a battle. Exit the building afterward.
Right before the gate, head north and go to the trash can next to the vending machine - it'll contain a PP Up. Go to the basketball court on the right and fight a pair of Triple Battles with the two. Go back and heal your Pokemon at the house on the far right, then this time head south on the east side of the village and into the Tennis court. Battle the two tennis players there. Go to the northwest corner of the court and pick up a Carbos. Exit the court on the other side. Cross the river using Surf, stop where the Fisherman is and pick up a Heart Scale - then battle him. Continue across the river to the other side. There is a barely visible entrance underneath the bridge near the man next to the trash can is. Enter there to be kicked out by a woman practicing her singing - why? I'll tell you later.
Go to the left through the space in the fencing and pick up an Ultra Ball. Use the Dowsing Machine to find a Max Ether that is further to the left. Battle the trainer running around the area, then turn around and go back to the river. Don't use Surf but go up the left side underneath the bridge to the other side and find a Blue Shard at the north end. Go to the middle where the Dark Grass is and pick up a Big Pearl, cross to the east side. Battle the old man there and continue eastward. Use the Dowsing Machine to find a Big Mushroom. Go all the way east to find a Rare Candy at the end.
Go back west then go south without using Surf, back through the Tennis court and to the bridge; heal your Pokemon, then head westward on the bridge. Talk to the girl toward the south side after crossing the river. She was wondering where a weird sound is coming from. She finds out from you (notice where you are, you are above the room that you got kicked out of) that it is a girl practicing her signing. As a reward for finding that out from you, she will hand you some Sitrus Berries (5 of them). Cross the bridge completely and exit through the gate to Route 11.
Route 11
Wild Pokemon: Amoonguss, Gligar, Golduck, Karrablast, Marill, Seviper, Shelmet, Zangoose, Audino*, Azumarill*, Emolga*, Gliscor*, Buizel (S**), Floatzel (S*), Basculin(R) (B2 / W2*, S), Basculin(B) (W2, B2*, S), Virizion$
Trainers Pokemon: Pokemon Breeder^ (Emolga LV41, Altaria LV41), Pokemon Ranger (Tympole LV42, Palpitoad LV42)
Items: Favored Mail, Full Heal, Aspear Berry, Max Potion
^ - This trainer will battle you each time you enter Route 11
$ - Only one is available in the game
Really short route, mainly because we cannot visit all of it due to not having the field move Waterfall with us. There is an additional trainer plus the Dark Grass we cannot get to. However it does not mean there is not anything important here. A couple paces after crossing the second bridge, Virizion - kin to Cobalion - shows itself and jumps off the cliff that is to the north of you. The Pokemon is of the Grass/Fighting-type. Talk to it to initiate a wild battle. Like Cobalion before it, it is NOT a requirement to capture it right now. You can walk by it and capture it later. It will be at Level 45. Explore all you can along this route, use the Dowsing Machine to collect the items - some you will not reach right now. Exit west to Opelucid City - and to Part 7.
